Ranches showcases a wide combination of outstanding designs and proven ideas for renovating, remodeling, and building. Arnold Karp's renovation of a 1948 ranch into a charming farmhouse with nearly three times the original floor space was highlighted. Parts of the original structure, including the living room and foundation were preserved, while creating a second floor addition. The combination of renovation and addition helped turn this nondescript ranch into a classic farm house. A front porch, use of unique window design, and antique flooring helped transform this ranch. The back yard was regraded from a sharp drop-off to a banked area with swimming pool and play area.
